About the event
On behalf of Forth Valley Recovery Community and Active Stirling, we are pleased to announce the annual Forth Valley Recovery Olympics 2026, that will be held on Friday 24th July 2026, at Forthbank Stadium.
This year marks a very special milestone as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Forth Valley Recovery Olympics. Over the past decade, this event has grown into one of the most inspiring celebrations of recovery, bringing together individuals, families, recovery communities and support services from across the country to recognise the power of recovery, resilience and community.
What began ten years ago as a local initiative has become a flagship event that demonstrates how sport, connection and positive experiences can support and sustain recovery journeys. This anniversary event provides an opportunity to reflect on the lives changed, achievements celebrated and partnerships developed over the last decade, while looking forward to the future of recovery communities across Scotland.
The Recovery Olympics is a celebration of recovery through sport and is delivered in the spirit of a traditional school sports day. Events will include Dress-Up Relay, Sack Race, Hungry Hippos, Tug-o-War and many more fun and inclusive activities. Participants will attend from recovery communities and support organisations across Scotland, and we extend the warmest welcome to join us as we celebrate this significant anniversary.
There will be food and refreshments available throughout the day, along with opportunities to learn more about the impact of the partnership between FVRC and Active Stirling. For a flavour of the event and the atmosphere it creates, please see the article below from FV Recovery Olympics 2025:
